This policy describes the current free version of SweepLinks as prepared for Chrome Web Store submission.
SweepLinks is designed to stay inactive until the user enables a site, and in the current free version it
does not send selected link data to SweepLinks servers during normal extension use.
Processing
What SweepLinks processes
SweepLinks processes visible link URLs and visible link text on webpages only after the user explicitly
enables the extension for a specific site and starts a selection action.
Activation
Where SweepLinks runs
SweepLinks does not run on every website by default. The user must manually enable access for each site
where they want to use the extension.
Storage
What SweepLinks stores locally
SweepLinks stores extension settings locally in the browser. This includes default rules, enabled sites,
onboarding state, active batch state, and the tab IDs needed to close tabs opened by the last run.
Use
How data is used
SweepLinks uses processed link data only to perform the action requested by the user, such as opening
selected links, copying them, or saving them as bookmarks.
Transmission
Remote transmission
In the current free version of SweepLinks, selected link data is not sent to SweepLinks servers during
normal extension use.
Sharing
Data sharing
SweepLinks does not sell user data and does not share selected link data with third parties, except where
required to complete the browser feature explicitly requested by the user or where required by law.
Control
User control
Users control where SweepLinks runs by enabling or disabling specific sites. Users can also remove enabled
sites, clear extension data through browser controls, or remove the extension entirely.
Retention
Retention
Locally stored extension data remains in the browser until the user changes settings, disables site access,
clears extension storage, or removes the extension.
